Born in South Africa of mixed racial ancestry and having lived in and adapted to various locations around the world, Michael has experienced and explored the constraints of ‘belonging’ in the depths of her being. In this piece she will live through the shifts in personality, the different states one morphs through in the quest to be part of a whole and convey the limited nature of belonging as influenced by an ever-evolving time and space.

Moya Michael, international dancer/choreographer of note, has lent her personality and skill to renowned choreographers Anna Teresa de Keersmaecker and Akram Khan. Now she is to offer the public a uniquely, innovative solo work - a raw, intimate study and deconstruction of her identity used as a mirror to humanity’s struggle to define itself in a shapeless, fragile and always boundless reality.
