Mirage

Is not a story but is pieces of picture a fragmented puzzle. Is not about gender, but two individuals within their society

One puzzle is about fitting in within the society, while other been victims (fashion and material)

Dance Umbrella 2011 – New Commissioned work and International companies

Dance Umbrella 2011 will be presented by the Dance Forum in association with the National Arts Council, Goethe-Institut South Africa, Rand Merchant Bank and Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) from February 24 to March 6 2011. Venues this year include the Wits Theatre complex in Braamfontein, the UJ Arts Centre in Auckland Park, Goethe on Main, inner city Joburg and the Dance Factory in Newtown.

  • Fringe Programme: Saturday, February 26 from 14:00 @ The Wits Theatre: A programme of new works from young up and coming professional choreographers that will give you a view into the future!!

  • Celebrating the life of Pina Bausch: A series of films about the legendary German choreographer Pina Bausch will be shown in partnership with the Goethe- Institut South Africa. Watch press for details!
